Montana Hunting Trips in the
Cabinet Mountains - Libby, MT

(Note: Silver Bow Outfitters has added to it's existing area approximately 600,000 acres. Description & new map forthcoming, contact us for additional information)

Silver Bow Outfitters is located in Northwestern Montana at the Southeast end of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. One of the outstanding features of this hunting area in Montana is that elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, moose, and bear all utilize this same habitat, making for excellent combination hunting opportunities. Silver Bow Outfitters is remotely located within our South Hunting Area allowing hunters access to our ruggedly beautiful mountains by simply walking out the front door.

Our hunting grounds consist of 170 sections (approximately 110,000 acres) which are divided into two areas, one north and one south of US Hwy 2. While our ranch facilities are located within our South area, we use both areas for hunting to ensure clients ample Montana hunting opportunities, regardless of weather conditions.

The South Hunting Area consists of approximately 110 sections of which 95 are located in rugged wilderness with no roads while the other 15 are accessed via gated roads. This adjoins and includes the southeast end of the Cabinet Mountain Wilderness. This is a noted trophy hunting area for elk, mule deer, whitetail, bear, moose, sheep and mountain goat. Horses can be used for access where the terrain permits, but hiking is the primary means of hunting since the South Hunting Area is very rugged. Clients must be physically able and willing to hike and hunt in this challenging terrain.

Our North Hunting Area consists of approximately 45 sections. This area consists of Forest Service, Plum Creek Timber Company and State lands, This area is a mosaic of roadless, gated and open road areas. Gated roads are accessed by foot and horseback only. The North Hunting Area is far less physically demanding than the South Hunting Area while still offering excellent trophy opportunities for elk, whitetail deer, mule deer, bear and moose.

On Silver Bow Outfitting hunting trips, both North and South Hunting Areas are used to give clients every opportunity to harvest their desired quality of animal.
